We are seeking an experienced Account Executive for our team. The core responsibility of this role is to acquire and service new and existing clients. The Account Executive works with school administrators to assess their needs and identify solutions that will allow them to better serve their students, drawing from the portfolio of products and services offered by our company. Our ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong track record of delivering results and hands-on experience with education technology.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospect to identify and qualify potential new customers
  • Develop leads through referral channels and cold calling
  • Work with customers to understand their requirements and objectives
  • Prepare customized plans for each customer to demonstrate how their short and long-term needs may be met by our products
  • Develop and implement strategies to sustain and/or expand sales within an assigned territory
  • Drive new business by building trusted relationships with decision makers and channel partners
  • Maintain account relationships through regular customer contact
  • Advise existing customers of new product and service offerings
  • Communicate with customers to obtain feedback on products
  • Tailor presentations and proposals to the specific needs and priorities of prospective customers
  • Serve as a point of escalation for issues or activities that the customer encounters during product utilization
  • Coordinate sales efforts across departments to resolve complex issues
  • Maintain complete and accurate client data 
  • Prepare budget, sales activity, and demand forecast reports and present them to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Represent the business at trade shows and industry events
  • Develop targeted prospecting campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and/or education technology 
  • 3+ years of experience working with school administration 
  • Experience working in B2B sales with a proven track record of meeting sales quotas
  • Experience with collaboration workflows, market dynamics, and procurement processes in the education sector
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers in the education sector
  • Knowledge of the education industry and edtech products and services
  • Knowledge of educational technology trends and solutions
  • Experience managing complex sales situations
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using a CRM for pipeline management
  • Advanced skills with Excel for reporting
