We’re looking for a DevOps engineer to join our growing team. This role will help us maintain and scale the infrastructure of our software product by enhancing development pipelines and infrastructure design. They will be an active member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team with the opportunity to contribute to our product and our team development. The successful candidate should be a self-starter eager to share new ideas and collaborate on scalable projects to achieve challenging goals. 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available
  • Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure defined as a code
  • Develop, improve, and maintain our network and software security standards, processes, and protocols
  • Automate security controls
  • Maintain and improve the IT infrastructure, monitoring tools, and the current delivery pipeline
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors and infrastructure issues
  • Implement automations to achieve continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Work closely with the engineering team to build new features
  • Maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring security issues 
  • Identify and test new technologies
  • Debug and resolve build, test, and deployment issues in staging and production environments
  • Work with product QA and engineering teams to ensure test frameworks are run in a consistent and timely manner
  • Build tools and systems to improve the operational efficiency of the engineering team
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and trends, as well as changes to compliance requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, site reliability engineering, system administration, or cloud infrastructure engineering
  • Experience with software release management and deployment pipelines
  • Experience with NoSQL database administration
  • Experience in IT management and operations
  • Experience with security architecture
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform 
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or Prometheus
  • Knowledge of risk assessment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
