The Director of Product Management is an integral member of the product team and a key driver of our organization’s continued evolution. This role will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and overall success of our products. They will collaborate with executives, product managers, developers, and designers to set and execute our product strategy. This is both a strategic and a tactical hands-on role that will engage directly with roadmap planning, prioritizing bugs, and everything in between. Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead agile teams in the creation and delivery of our solutions 
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall product vision and strategy
  • Drive roadmap development, requirements gathering, and tactical prioritization to create solutions to meaningful problems
  • Lead cross-matrixed engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate UX experience research into effective and attractive products for our target markets
  • Build alignment on scope and delivery of product vision and solution designs with technology counterparts in engineering, QA, and program management
  • Engage in customer research and discovery to validate new product concepts
  • Stay updated on evolving market and customer needs to guide product strategy and roadmap decisions
  • Prepare product information for dissemination to product marketing and validate market-facing product information to elevate messaging and promote adoption
  • Optimize the development lifecycle through agile methodologies and cross-team collaboration
  • Represent the voice of the customer in planning discussions
  • Partner with product marketing, sales, and partner success teams to launch new products and features to market

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, marketing, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience, including a consistent track record of launching high-quality software products and features
  • 3+ years of experience leading product initiatives, preferably in edtech
  • Experience delivering products from conception to launch
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C edtech product management
  • Knowledge of product management, marketing, and sales principles
  • Knowledge of global education landscapes, assessment diagnostics, and certification solutions
  • Knowledge of user-centric methodologies, including design thinking, lean startup, and iterative development
  • Knowledge of SaaS pricing models, especially within the edtech arena
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
