We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to administer the enterprise infrastructure and fast data processing. This role will serve as a platform expert responsible for the design, development, automation, testing, and support of our data infrastructure. Their primary goal will be to improve the overall experience, quality, and reliability by automating repetitive tasks and reducing manual intervention. 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines for CI/CD, configuration management, and infrastructure management
  • Deploy and configure DevOps tools and frameworks
  • Monitor and manage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations
  • Implement and maintain version control systems, configuration management tools, and other DevOps related technologies
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in software development, IT operations, or a similar role
  • Experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization
  • Experience with cloud technologies and cloud platforms
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure management tools
  • Knowledge of modern big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or NoSQL 
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java
  • Strong problem-solving skills
