Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify useful data sources and automate collection processes
• Define and execute data collection strategies 
• Work with technology leadership and other key team members to develop strategy for our long-term data platform architecture
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure
• Preprocess structured and unstructured data
• Formulate and lead guided, multifaceted analysis of large volumes of data
• Interpret and analyze data using mathematical and statistical techniques
• Explore and visualize data to identify patterns, trends, and relationships
• Coordinate research and analytic activities
• Employ programming to clean, massage, and organize data
• Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms
• Evaluate the performance of models and refine them as needed
• Coordinate with data engineers to build data environments 
• Develop methodologies and processes to prioritize and schedule data projects
• Define company data assets to populate data models
• Present analysis and insights using data visualization techniques
• Propose data-based solutions to business challenges
• Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a data scientist, data analyst, or similar role
• Experience in data mining
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools, such as SQL, Excel, and pandas
• Experience using business intelligence tools and data frameworks
• Experience with data visualization tools
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Scala or C++
