We are in need of a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and testing automated machinery and processes to complete specific tasks. The Automation Engineer will work closely with engineering team members and other departments to develop automation systems that meet their needs and align with overall business goals. They will also be responsible for leading the implementation of changes or new technology and overseeing the quality assurance process.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and design new ways to automate systems
  • Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to determine project requirements
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency with automation
  • Design and test automation equipment and processes
  • Program new automated components
  • Identify and address quality issues with programs and features
  • Identify, eliminate, and record defects and errors with product and software development
  • Establish monitoring and QA processes
  • Write and present reports on new automation systems and their performance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and developments in automation

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • Experience with robotics, AI, and machine learning
  • Experience with project management 
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment and performing complex system tests
  • Experience with one or more performance testing tools
  • Experience with one or more automation tools
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Go, and/or Bash
  • Thorough knowledge of computer programming and software development
  • Knowledge of APIs
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Strong organization and attention to detail 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Solidity and Truffle
  • Experience using Docker
  • Knowledge of blockchain
  • Knowledge of API testing tools
  • Familiarity with NodeJS
