We are looking for a Data Architect to join our dynamic team. This crucial role will design and optimize conceptual and logical database models. Their responsibilities will include contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production and quality standards, performing data migration, identifying trends, and resolving problems with our data infrastructure. Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop database solutions to store and retrieve company information
  • Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality 
  • Determine structural requirements and develop and install solutions to meet them
  • Confirm architecture capability and flexibility to support high availability web applications
  • Analyze structural requirements for new software applications
  • Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions
  • Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
  • Improve system performance by conducting tests and troubleshooting issues
  • Optimize new and current database systems
  • Define security and backup procedures
  • Recommend upgrades and new systems to improve database performance
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems
  • Communicate technology needs and strategy to leadership

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, information systems, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience as a data architect or in a data management role
  • Experience working on a mainframe database and SQL server database
  • Experience designing and implementing database models, data flow diagrams, database schema, and DB scripts
  • Experience with data mapping and conversion and creating packages for data migration
  • Experience with network design and implementation 
  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
  • Experience with software architecture and design
  • Experience with data replication and data modeling
  • Expertise in SQL and Oracle
  • Expertise in database design and architecture
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Thorough knowledge of database structure principles
  • Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of data security and storage solutions
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Relevant professional certifications
