Product Design Jobs

We are looking for a Design Technologist who can enhance user experiences with our products. This role will work closely with UX, creative, product, and engineering teams to solve customer challenges and identify opportunities to grow more business. They will be responsible for creating prototypes at a variety of fidelities throughout the design process, including working samples and reference code. The successful candidate should be proficient in a range of development and prototyping platforms and tools and have a passion for tackling new problems that push technology forward. 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and iterate on fidelity prototypes that express design intent
  • Participate in concept development and design iteration
  • Develop functional prototypes to prove and sell concepts to development teams, leadership, and partners
  • Develop new features or modify existing ones to improve user satisfaction
  • Investigate the performance of launched features using business intelligence tools and third-party analytics tools
  • Automate and optimize processes to support scaling growth team initiatives
  • Document creative and/or engineering standards and practices 
  • Manage vendors to deliver high quality prototypes on time and on budget

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, design, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong portfolio of prototype work that includes design, high fidelity animation, iconography, typography, imagery, and color
  • 4+ years of experience as an engineer, front-end technologist, UX prototyper, or similar role
  • Experience as a lead designer or developer
  • Experience driving a user-centered design thinking process
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java
  • Experience using JavaScript and CSS frameworks, tools, and workflow
  • Experience with web, mobile web, and mobile app front-end development
  • Fluent across a range of technologies, including JavaScript, NodeJS, HTML/CSS, XML/JSON, and responsive/adaptive design
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using AWS in production environments
  • Knowledge of Android and iOS development
  • Familiarity with AR, VR, voice design, and/or facial recognition
