We are a growing financial technology company and need to hire a Business Analyst with an analytical mindset to translate business requirements into functional specifications. This role will collaborate with the development team to design new features, with a primary responsibility of analyzing customer needs and conveying them to technical teams. Our ideal candidate will have both strong technical aptitude and a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle. 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead development efforts to support our existing customer-facing applications
  • Determine application requirements and develop new solutions to meet the diverse needs of our customers
  • Identify and resolve conflicting requirements across teams
  • Serve as a liaison between functional and technical stakeholders and the development team
  • Lead analysis of customer-facing applications and processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Guide feature development from inception through release
  • Provide production support
  • Create project charters, detail technical specifications, refine UI/UX requirements, and craft application roll-out strategies to ensure seamless releases
  • Perform independent functional analysis for new projects and document system requirements and solution designs

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information technology, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and implementing requirements
  • Experience leading development teams within an agile framework
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment leveraging continuous delivery and automated testing
  • Experience working with user flows, functional wireframes, storyboards, mockups, prototypes, user personas, and other UX deliverables
  • Knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of financial industry business processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the banking, credit union, or fintech industries
  • Experience working with AWS technologies
  • Knowledge of risk management or collection processes
  • Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
